The People's Voice

David Madaffari has been the online, social voice for the City of St. George since the initial election in October 2019 and continuing ever since. Through volunteering with the Transition District to advocating for more citizen engagement, this "Humble Enthusiastic Mouthpiece for St. George" is not short of passion for what the City of St. George can represent for its citizens.

Further, he sees the potential for positive ripple effects throughout East Baton Rouge Parish, lifting St. George and its municipal neighbors higher degrees of success and collaboration.

Education and Family

Moving to the St. George area with his family in 1992 (age 10), David attended Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School until entering Catholic High School of Baton Rouge in 1996. Excelling in his studies, he discovered a love for music and percussion - as well as meeting his future wife Dana Schmitt. Upon graduating from CHS he joined the LSU Golden Band From Tigerland and earned his Bachelors Degree in Information Systems and Decision sciences in 2004. It was also in 2004 that David developed an interested in real estate and studied to become a licensed agent.

In 2005, David and Dana married and moved to Monroe, LA so Dana could pursue a degree in Pharmacy, returning to southeast Louisiana in 2008. Today, they reside in St. George while running a small real estate brokerage firm and homeschooling their 3 children.

Business and Achievements

After working as an IT programmer and analyst for Centurylink, Amedysis and Eatel, David joined Keller Williams Realty in 2012 as a full-time real estate agent.

He consistently ranked in the 10% of individual agents, receiving numerous awards for volume and units sold. In 2019 was the recipient of the inaugural Gary Keller Award, one of the highest individual honors an agent may receive in the office. In 2020 he received the Social Influencer Award for his unique videos and social engagement strategy, and in 2022 was recognized in Real Producer magazine's "40 Under 40."

In 2024, David combined his real estate success with his IT background to create his own business software and launched The Grassroots Real Estate Group aimed to help clients and agents alike develop solid roots from which to grow personally, financially and professionally.

Faith and Policy

David firmly believes that good public policy is directly correlated to a strong adherence to principles of faith. A conservative life-long Catholic, David felt the call to public service through his studies of the founding and history of our nation, and the currently ongoing pursuit of government transparency.

With the creation of St. George, David wishes to instill the same virtues of faithful service, justice and fair representation of the Will of the People to determine the direction of the city.

David will be a steadfast voice of truth and integrity, with the needs and wishes of his constituents being paramount in his role as public servant.
